Managing your budgets shouldn’t feel like a chore. One of the most common requests we’ve heard from our community is a simpler way to keep Custom Fields up to date when new budgets are added. As one customer put it:
“When new budgets are created, I have to remember to go back and add them to the Custom Fields to ensure these apply. This is something I often forget to do and it would be great if there was a better way to do this.”
We heard you loud and clear. With our latest release, you can now configure a Custom Field to automatically apply to all current and future budgets and subscriptions, eliminating extra steps and reducing the risk of missing crucial data in your workflows.
Previously, you had to manually update your Custom Fields every time you introduced a new budget or subscription. Now, with just a single option, your Custom Fields will apply to all current and newly created budgets - no more toggling between settings or forgetting important details.
• Time Savings: Eliminate the extra step of revisiting settings each time you add a new budget or subscription.
• Reduced Errors: Never forget to apply Custom Fields again - consistent data fields mean fewer reporting hiccups.
• Enhanced Reporting: Keeping all your budgets aligned under the same Custom Field structure simplifies reporting and analysis.
1. Navigate to Custom Fields: Head over to Settings → Custom Fields in your Weel account.
2. Create or Edit a Custom Field: When creating a new Custom Field or editing an existing one, look for the section labeled “Which budgets and subscriptions require this field?”
3. Select “All Current and Future Budgets / Subscriptions”: By choosing this option, you’re telling Weel to automatically apply your Custom Field to everything new you create, without any manual updates.
4. Configure Your Field Options: Decide whether the field should be free text or predefined options, ensuring it matches your specific data-capture needs.
5. Save Your Settings: Click “Create new custom field” (or “Save” if editing), and you’re all set!
